Alzheimer's Support Group
Support for Patients, Family and Friends
Approximately 4.5 million Americans have this disease. Although
many things about Alzheimers remain a mystery, research continues
to bring us a better understanding of the disease, more accurate
diagnoses, and more effective treatments.

Bosom Buddies:
Breast Cancer Support Group
This disease will strike more than 200,000 times this year and claim
more than 40,000 lives. It's often assumed that coping with the
shock of a breast cancer diagnosis is the most difficult part of
living with breast cancer, but women who have had breast cancer
know that life is often hardest after treatment ends. Bosom Buddies
offers support and encouragement for all those experiencing or recovering
from breast cancer.

Brain Injury:
Brain Injury Support Group
The Brain Injury Support Group meets at BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center-Little
Rock on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. It is an opportunity
to join others from the community who are dealing with similar challenges
and obtain information on resources, etc. as well as being strengthened
by conversation, friendship, group problem solving, and common bonds.

Parkinson Disease Support Group
Support for Patients, Family and Friends
Parkinson disease affects both men and women in almost equal numbers.
It shows no social, ethnic, economic or geographic boundaries. In
the United States, it is estimated that 60,000 new cases are diagnosed
each year, joining the 1.5 million Americans who currently have
Parkinson disease.

Perinatal Bereavement:
Support After the Loss of Your Child
SHARE is the largest perinatal bereavement support group in the
country. Meetings are free and open to all. SHARE parent support
group meetings are always on Thursday at 7:30 pm in the Health Management
Center on the Mezzanine level at BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center -
Little Rock. All are on the 4th Thursday except for November and
December when it is held on the 3rd Thursday.

Central Arkansas Stroke Support Group
The Central Arkansas Support Group meets at BHRI on the first Wednesday
of each month at 11:00a.m.
This is a time for stroke survivors and their friends and family
to meet and share their common experiences, gain and provide information
on resources, establish new social contacts, and support each other.
