The BAPTIST HEALTH Rehabilitation Institute therapy gym is equipped with an automobile, a simulated kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. These are all designed for the practice of transfers, cooking, home management, and other daily activities to lead to a more independent lifestyle. The Rehabilitation Nursing staff will provide instruction in such topics as skin care, bowel & bladder management, medication management, pain management and the monitoring and management of other issues related to Brain Injury. Occupational Therapists will provide training in dressing, grooming, feeding, bathing and other self-care needs. A Registered Dietitian will provide dietary counseling specific to the needs of each individual.
