BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center - Arkadelphia became a part of BAPTIST HEALTH in 1981 when BAPTIST HEALTH reached out to Southwest Arkansas, assuming operation of Clark County Memorial Hospital. The hospital is now in new, modern facilities and continues to make an impact on the surrounding communities. BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center Arkadelphia (BHMC-A) is committed to serving the citizens of southwest Arkansas.
New Free-standing MRI is Now Open!
This free-standing MRI will allow patients in Arkadelphia and
surrounding communities who need this type of service to stay closer
to home and receive the same benefits of advanced technology that
have only been available in larger cities. After an MRI test is
performed, the film will be delivered directly to a radiology specialist
at BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center - Little Rock, who will then read
the film and provide results to the patient's primary caregiver.
Delicious Deliveries!
The Delicious Deliveries program at BHMC-A delivers hot meals
to nearly 500 rural and elderly residents in over 40 Arkansas counties.
Lifeline
In 1990, BHMC-A assumed responsibility for LifeLine, a personal
emergency response system for the handicapped and elderly. Today,
Lifeline has expanded to cover the entire state of Arkansas with
over 1,500 customers taking advantageof this service that brings
security and healthcare services with just a push of a button.
BHMC-A
operates one of two Mobile Health Units in Arkansas. This unit operates
constantly in the community, offering health screenings and education,
first aid and physician directed medical services.
When the March tornadoes tore through Clark County in 1997, the BHMC-A Mobile Health Unit became the temporary command center for numerous agencies working to save lives and assess damage in the area.
